FOR KEEPING YOUR SKIN HEALTHY AND GLOWING
FOR YOUR BIG DAY

  • TRY TO DRINK LOTS OF WATER (8 GLASSES RECOMMENDED DAILY)
  • MAINTAIN A HEALTHY DIET WITH PLENTY OF FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES; CLEAR HEALTHY SKIN COMES FROM WITHIN
  • TRY TO GET AT LEAST 6 TO 8 HOURS SLEEP EACH NIGHT; eg. 10pm – 6am IS IDEAL  🙂
  • IF YOU SMOKE, TRY TO STOP OR MINIMISE IT; SMOKING CAUSES THE SKIN TO LOSE ITS NATURAL GLOW (FOR SOME LONG-TERM SMOKERS, THEIR SKIN HAS A SLIGHT GREY UNDERTONE), AND CAN CONTRIBUTE TO DARK CIRCLES UNDER THE EYES
  • FOLLOW A REGULAR CLEANSING, TONING AND MOISTURISING ROUTINE (MORNING AND NIGHT); BUT TONING CAN BE OPTIONAL IF YOU CLEANSE WITH WATER
  • IF YOU WEAR HEAVY MAKE-UP, REMOVE THE EYE MAKE-UP FIRST WITH A GENTLE EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER; NOTE: IF USING WATERPROOF MASCARA, THIS NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF WITH OIL-BASED REMOVERS TO HELP DISSOLVE IT
  • THEN YOU MAY NEED TO DOUBLE CLEANSE: ONCE TO REMOVE THE MAKE-UP, TWICE TO CLEAN THE PORES THOROUGHLY
  • FOLLOW CLEANSING WITH A LIGHT EYE CREAM – TO PREVENT FINE LINES AND WRINKLES APPEARING AROUND THE EYE AREA
  • THEN MOISTURISE WITH AN APPROPRIATE MOISTURISER FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE
  • APPLY A GOOD LIP MOISTURISER TO PREVENT FLAKY LIPS EACH DAY AND AT NIGHT BEFORE BED
  • TIP: IF YOU DO HAVE FLAKY LIPS, USE AN OLD TOOTHBRUSH AND APPLY VASELINE AND BRUSH YOUR LIPS GENTLY FOR 2 MINS
  • EXFOLIATE ONCE A WEEK – USE A GRANULAR SCRUB – FOR DRY TO NORMAL SKIN; CONCENTRATE ON YOUR
    T-ZONE, ESPECIALLY AROUND YOUR NOSE/NASAL FOLDS AND UNDER YOUR CHIN
  • EXFOLIATE TWICE A WEEK – FOR COMBINATION TO OILIER SKINS
  • HOWEVER: DO NOT EXFOLIATE IF YOU ARE SUPER-SENSITIVE, SUFFER ROSACEA, OR HAVE ACNE BREAKOUTS
  • USE A DETOXIFYING OR DEEP CLEANSING CLAY MASK ONCE A WEEK, APPLYING THIS TO THE T-ZONE ONLY (BUT NOT WITHIN 3 WEEKS LEADING UP TO THE WEDDING) – FOR COMBINATION TO OILY COMPLEXIONS
  • I SUGGEST TO USE A HYDRATING MASK – TWICE A WEEK FOR DRY SKINS; ONCE A WEEK (OR AS DESIRED), FOR NORMAL TO COMBINATION SKINS
  • IF YOU CHOOSE TO VISIT A BEAUTY THERAPIST FOR A WEEKLY FACIAL, BEGIN AT LEAST 6 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR WEDDING DATE SO THAT IF BREAKOUTS DO OCCUR, THEY WILL HAVE TIME TO CLEAR UP BEFORE THE BIG DAY
  • DO NOT TRY ANY NEW TREATMENTS OR NEW SKINCARE PRODUCTS WITHIN THREE WEEKS OF YOUR WEDDING DAY – IF YOU REACT, THEN YOU NEED TO HEAL ANY BLEMISHES THAT OCCUR
  • DO NOT USE ANY DEEP CLEANSING MASKS THREE WEEKS LEADING UP TO THE WEDDING IN CASE YOU DRAW IMPURITIES OUT AND CREATE PIMPLES
  • PLEASE ENSURE ALL MANICURES AND PEDICURES ARE COMPLETED ONE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING
  • REMEMBER TO EXFOLIATE (ESPECIALLY ELBOWS, KNEES AND FLAKY AREAS) AND THEN MOISTURISE THE BODY ALL OVER BEFORE GOING FOR A FAKE SPRAY TAN – AS THIS WILL ENSURE AN EVEN GRAB OF COLOUR TO THE SKIN; IT’S BEST TO DO THIS ONE OR TWO DAYS BEFORE AS WELL
  • ON THE EVE (NIGHT BEFORE) OF YOUR WEDDING DAY, PLEASE EXFOLIATE YOUR FACE GENTLY AND APPLY A HYDRATING MASK (NOT A CLAY MASK)
  • AND PLEASE REQUEST ALL YOUR BRIDAL PARTY MEMBERS TO EXFOLIATE AND APPLY HYDRATING MASKS AS WELL
  • WE REQUEST YOUR HAIR TO BE WASHED CLEAN (THE NIGHT BEFORE) AND DRY ON THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING DAY BEFORE HAIRSTYLING BEGINS – UNLESS OTHERWISE INSTRUCTED
